I was driving home from the park and glanced in the backseat at a stop light. Who was this handsome little boy staring back at me and where did my baby go? For some reason, I had the urge to capture that very moment on film... so I did. To everyone else, they are just more cute pictures. For me, they capture one of those "I love this kid more than anything in the entire world" moments.

Benjamin's first flight with his dad!

I've been delaying posting these pictures because I've been trying to find the time to write a somewhat thoughtful post. Forget it! Who has time to actually sit down, think, and write with a 15 month old ball of energy? Not me! Besides, all you really care about is the pictures, right? Right.

I'll make this quick...

Benjamin went on his first airplane ride with his Dad flying the plane! How neat is that? Not too many kids are able to brag about that one! (Ok, maybe I was a little proud myself sitting back there knowing MY husband was flying our plane...but back to Benjamin's experience) Our first flight was from Pittsburgh to Philadelphia. We got on the airplane and my attempt to put Benjamin in his carseat was unsuccessful, so I held him in my lap. We started to taxi down the runway and he cuddled and nursed. He was pressed tightly against my chest during take off... and then about 30seconds later, he was completely zonked out! He woke up after the wheels touched down in Philly. Just when I thought he couldn't be any more similar to his father, I was wrong.

The next flight from Philly to Wilmington, NC was easy and uneventful as well. He cuddled and nursed during take off, played with the tray on the back of the seat for quite some time, ate crackers, and suddenly we were landing without any fussing. Perfect!

Wilmington was beautiful. We spent our two days at the ocean and at the hotel pool. Andy did some flying on the second day and returned to us by 2:30. Benjamin was great the entire trip... he enjoyed the hotel and the pool, ate well, and most importantly...slept well! The flights home were smooth sailing as well.

We will definitely be taking advantage of this perk more often!

Cutest picture ever!

His little face just lit up when he was allowed to crawl up in the cockpit.

Benjamin thinking: This is the coolest thing EVER!
Me thinking: Please don't mess anything up for our next flight!
